Callie Marshall, the daughter of Clayton and Shelly Marshall, grand daughter of Victor Marshall and niece of D'Anne Venable, needs our continued pray. She is 13 years old and a couple of weeks ago she was put in the hospital with Pancreatitis. She has since gotten to go home, but still needs our prayers. Other issues she has to deal with are heart problem, diabetic, kidneys and she was born blind. Please keep this family in your constant prayers.

My best friend's brother in law is stationed in Afganistan and was in a bombing attack at Bagram Air Base in Afganistan. One was killed.They are asking for prayer for his safety and for the family. My friend just found out that her brother in-law is safe! Praise God!!! But we still must pray for those who's loved ones were injured or killed. God's peace can calm the most hurting heart. Prayer for Sandra Tebeest

Please continue praying for Sandra TeBeest, who is Buddy Trent's sister. She has Ovarian cancer. She had her first chemo treatment on Friday. She was so bad on Friday a.m. that the doctors weren't sure they could give her chemo, but after many of the family and friends praying, she improved so much that she was given chemo on Friday afternoon. Praise the Lord!
She is resting at home in Gruver. She feels much better, but she is having some pain and is very tired. She will need two more treatments before the drs. will perform surgery. Please continue praying for this sweet lady.

Please pray for guidance and peace

My cousin and his wife are expecting their 2nd child and she was just laid off of her job, and she is the one carrying the insurance. Also he was laid off last year, and has been staying home with their oldest boy, because of the cost of child care, it just seemed to make sense. But now they are both out of work, and he is very stressed and discouraged. He is a christian, but he isn't very active.

My friend in Arizona asked if we could place the unborn baby of a family in her church on our prayer chain. She is 22wks pregnant, his name is William, and the sonogram showed that he has spina bifida of the entire lumbar spine, part of the thoracic spine, and has swelling of the left lobe of his brain. The Dr.'s said that at 26wks, they could possibly do surgery, but the Dr.'s are not hopeful. They believe that God can heal their baby, and are asking for our prayers. Update on my uncle!

Please continue to pray for my uncle, Karl Vaughn. They thought he had pneumonia and they put him in the hospital to found out he had 2 blood clots. He is in so much pain with his back and now he is not going to be able to have the surgery he needs for his back for at least 6 months because he will be on blood thinner. Please pray for relief from the back pain and a miracle. He is very discouraged right now.

Update on Gerald

Gerald ( Benny) has been doing well after all his angiograms and 2 stints in his heart. Last month he had an angiogram on his legs and the arteries were 100% blocked. He is to go in the 8th of April to have bypasses done. He'll be in the hospital at least 5 days. I don't know how much down time there will be after he gets home. Then he should be all set to have his left knee replaced. Yea! After 5 years waiting!!
I am also going to be having some appointments in the next week. Please pray we get answers with my appointments and continue to pray for Gerald.

Pray for comfort for a family and community

A third grade teacher at Sunray, Kendra Sotelo, and her three children were in a car accident on their way home yesterday evening (March 30). Kendra and two of her children were killed. They live in Stinnett. The children's names are 2nd grader-Aliya. who was involved in the accident, but not doing well, and 4th graders- Audrey and Marcos. She has a husband and one son along with Aliya still living. Please pray for her family and the community of Sunray. They just buried a high school student a week ago. God has a plan even thoug its so hard to see it when young people lose their lives.

Please pray for Taylor Mingkhamsavath. She is 16 and a precious Christian girl, who is in ICU at NorthWest in Amarillo. She is having some complications from having chemo when she was younger. We just got back from seeing her and I know she would covet each of your prayers.

Pray for safety and peace!

Amanda Hendricks has asked prayers for safety for her and her fellow missionaries. They are missionaries in North Africa at orphanages and being removed from the country. Their concern is for their safety, plus the concerns for the children who have only known these missionaries as their parents all their lives. Amanda told her mother, Beverly Hendrick, that right now some of her co-workers have been removed and some like her are still at the orphanage w/ the children, but having to be very careful. They are being watched everywhere they go. Also, the Embassy is closed on the weekends, thus they can't reach anyone for help at that time. Please pray for their safety and protection while continuing to be ministering to these children. Pray for the children for the lose of the only family they know.

Please continue to pray for my wife, Juana James Recently we were at BSA where Juana was a patient for 8 days. We do not know anything now that we didn't know before she left the emergency room the first day. They just told us that her spleen was shrinking and she had a fatty liver. She is in so much pain, all the time. Please pray that the pain will stop and for healing. I know that our God can heal ANYTHING. Chris and I have a prayer request for a cousin of Clyde's, Linda Cotter who lives near Canyon. She is in BSA Intensive Care Unit with severe respiratory problems. She has been kept sedated for several days... yesterday was removed from some of the equipment to see how she does. The doctors plan for her to be in ICU for another 5 days. Update on Gerald!

(Benny) Gerald had his appointment with his kidney doctor. His creatin was 1.4; down from 1.6 last check up, which is good that it is down. Praise the Lord!! His doctor in San Antonio called and set up an Angiogram in his legs for Thursday morning first thing. We go down this Wednesday night March 3rd. Not sure if they will do both legs or just one. Please pray they don't have to do any major surgery (bypass) in his legs. If they just do stents or balloons he may get to have his left knee replaced finally! Thank you for the continued prayers.

Josh Payne, son of James and Tammy Payne, is in his second year of medical school in Forth Worth and will be going on a medical mission trip to Puebla, Mexico through the Christian Medical Association at UNT Health Science Center. The trip is March 13th through 20th. They will provide acute medical care to over 700 residents in the inner city and rural areas where there are no doctors. Please pray for the safety of those going and for the gospel to be received by those they are treating and coming in contact with while in Puebla.

Please pray for Sylvia. Last Wednesday she went to the emergency room here at Big Spring with a severe Asthma attack. During the testing she was admitting into the hopsital overnight. There was an abnormality in the EKG. The following Monday Sylvia had a nuclear stress test. God continues to answer prayers for DeAnn's awesome and amazing improvements. She was transferred to Plum Creek Rehab Facility for physical therapy. She has a ways to improve, but maybe not, just know how much she has improved these last few days. I have been able to talk with her on the phone and I understand what she is saying. Prayer for our armed forces

Please pray for our armed forces and all the challenges they face. Campus Crusade has their book More Than a Carpenter as well as other books over in Iraq that they are giving out. Campus Crusade has received thousands of calls a day asking for more Bibles, asking how to start churches and asking scriptural questions. The Iraqi government does not like this and moves in once the armed forces leave and capture the newly ordained pastors. Please pray that the Word of God continues to change lives.

Update from Karen Hunt

Please continue to pray for Gerald. We are still trying to get his knee replaced. Going on 5 years. He is now having his heart worked on. He had an angioplasty done where they found 2 arteries blocked. One was 90% blocked and the other was 98% blocked. They fixed the 90% blocked one and went in on Jan. 28th to repair the other one. He had that one "roto rootered," like a plumber digging out of blocked pipes. Pray for us to have travel mercy. We will be in San Antionio at the VA Med Center. Kent is doing well have he had a bone graft done about 5 weeks ago. We are enjoying watching his kids play basketball. Next week he goes to the doctor, where they will work on getting him to bend his knee. He hasn't been able to do that since his surgery. Norma, my sister had shoulder surgery in Oct and is now in rehab for that. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Prayer for strength and healing

John had back surgery on December 23rd and I chose to not mention it much because we thought it was going to be in and out with no problems. However, I am reaching out to ask for prayer from our church family for his recovery. He is not bouncing back like always in the past. He has had a high fever for 5 days off and on and has no appetite nor energy at all. Right now we do not know why. He just honestly does not feel good. We feel, like maybe the two back surgeries were too close together and he over did a lot of activity before this last surgery and he is having difficulty recovering. Our family would like to please ask you to lift him in prayer for strength and healing. God Bless you all. We know things could be much worse, but I sure want to see that smile and energetic person again.

I worked for a wonderful Christian man in Louisiana who is now laying in M.D. Anderson hospital in Houston. I am requesting prayer for God's will. This man is strong, but when I talked to him today on the phone he sounded weak. I ask him if I could put him on our prayer list and he said please do. So here is the request, he has the cancer of the lungs from breathing asbestos it starts with an M but I can't spell it. It has spread from his lungs to the rest of his body they are taking out organs that I thought you had to have to live. So for Joe 14 please pray for God's Will to be done. May God Bless.

Floydean came through the surgery and recovery very well; however, when the doctors tried to remove the ventilator she went into cardiac arrest. They have revived her and have her in a paralyzed state until tomorrow when they try to take her off the ventilator again. Gerald's total knee has been postponed. He failed the Thallium Stress Test last Wednesday! His Cardiologist saw something he didn't like. He called this afternoon with the following news. Leave in the morning for San Antonio VA. We have to be there around 1 PM @ admissions. The angiogram will be the next day...we think, after talking with Admissions in San Antonio. We aren't sure of anything else on the agenda. We'll see when we get there! We plan to have a good Thanksgiving where ever we are! (The plan was to eat with Kent & family.) Dusty is doing better and should make a full recovery. If her therapist says that it is okay, she might be released today. Please keep her in your prayers, now that she is going to have to learn how to live differently on a day to day basis. My sister-in-law’s niece, Dusty was just rushed to Amarillo. Dusty is a little 9 year old girl. She is in diabetic shock and is not doing well. Just wanted to ask for you to lift up in prayer, Gerald's brother, Jimmie Hunt. He and his wife, Gerry, went to Michigan last week to visit his daughter, Shawnda & family. A couple of days ago we got word that Jimmie fell and sat on his ankle, breaking it in 3 places and dislocating his ankle joint. He had to have it repaired at 10 AM, Texas time Nov. 3rd. He will have to stay off it for 2 months. Luckily at the hospital there, they have an on staff Orthopedic Surgeon that specializes in ankles. They will fly back to Post as soon as he is able to fly. My sister, Norma, had surgery on her right shoulder the 26th of October. She is doing very well. Today I talked with her and her pain only got up to a 2. The only other time she was in the hospital was when she had her 3 girls!!!! Unbelievable!! If all goes well, Gerald will have his total knee replacement Nov 30. He has to have a chemical stress test before the cardiologist OK's the surgery. Our son Kent Stephens will have surgery on his right knee around the 18th of December. Thank you for your prayers. I know prayers work because a year ago the circulation in Gerald's legs was 50%...now it is 75%!!!

Some of you receiving this know me, some do not. My wife, Cindy, is 32 years old and has just been diagnosed with stage 4 Cervical cancer. Her chances for survival are very slim. She was pregnant with our second child and had miscarried recently at 3 Months.

Please be in Prayer for Al and Deb McNeely. Al has been diagnosed with Polymyositis and he is unable to sit up, stand, or walk on his own. He is bedrest at this time. He is in BSA room 587. This is his 23rd day in 3 hospitals. Tuesday, October 20th he will have surgery to place an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD). He cannot have company that is not totally healthy because of his inability to fight germs. He has gone from 230 pounds last Christmas to 173 pounds. Deb is working at CBC as much as possible.

Julie Gutierrez from Green Acres - her son JJ Gutierrez was in a wreck in Amarillo last night. He's in ICU at Northwest Texas with head injuries - swelling of the brain and he is in a coma. He also has a broken pelvis and bruised lungs as well, but they are watching the head for now.

Our nephew, Charlie, left Wednesday, September 30th for Afghanistan. This is his second duty - the first was in Kuwait.

Please be in prayer for Al and Debra McNeely of Dumas. Al works for Xcel. He had knee surgery a few months ago. While recovering at home, he became very ill with what they thought was a heart attack. When rushed to Amarillo it was determined that it was not a heart attack. He has been in BSA ICU since then. Deb has been driving back and forth and trying to work (secretary at Calvery Baptist). Please pray for Richard's baby sister. We just found out today that she has stage 4 stomach cancer and was taken to Amarillo this morning. All they can do is chemo. Her name is Ellen Schollenbarger and lives in Dumas. She lost her husband little over a year ago with cancer. Thank you so much for the prayers for my brother. He is cancer free, and we are praising God for this miracle. The doctors say it will come back in 6 months or 6 years. We pray it does not.
Keep me in your prayers. I hope to get the surgery on my knee next month. I do not get out much because it hurts so much to walk.

My sister called last night and told us that her husband Juan has his imigration hearing today at 11:00 in Boise, ID (that's 10:00 our time). The judge may decide to send him back to Mexico right then and there. And on top of it all, my sister found out Sat that they are expecting. This is all very overwhelming, and they don't know what there next turn is. They are asking for prayer, and I thank you all for praying for them. God's will is perfect, now we just have to find out what his will is.

Update on Ed's Mom and Zeke

Ed's Mom is much better. We are waiting for results from the doctor's tests.

Zeke came through the MRI with no problems. He has been diagnosed with Partial Complex Seizure Disorder. This can be controlled with medication and some careful handling. He should outgrow this in 3-5 years. The doctors say he is healthy, intelligent and a bit on the ornery side - something we already knew but were blessed to hear.

Ed's Mom has been transferred from the Buffalo hospital to a hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. She will be having a MRI to determine if cancer has spread to her brain.

During a recent family vacation, Zeke, our three year old grandson had a seizure. He will be having a MRI Friday morning and there is some concern about this as he must be asleep to do so.

Please continue to pray for Lise’ Vitz. She is having more complications and is losing the sight in her right eye and having problems with her right side, which has been her good side. They feel the cancer is growing again. She had good news from Anthony her youngest son in the Air Force and he recently got transferred to Georgia. Moved next door to a retired Air Force Couple, got invited and went to Southern Baptist church with them and Laura his wife was saved, and they were both baptized, and now we hear they are expecting, Lise’s first Grandbaby. Has sure picked up Lise’s spirits. God IS Good and we are so thankful. See your prayers are working and please keep it up. Thank you so much.

I have two people that need our prayers, one is Darla who lives in Dalhart. She had a tumor removed from her ear and it was malignant. She is in her late thirties. The other person that needs our prayers is Margaret Louis Hunt of Dumas. She goes to see her oncologist this week. Please be in prayer for these two ladies. By the way thanks for all your prayers for my knee replacement surgery. It has been three weeks today and I am already walking on a cane instead of the walker. God is so good. When we come together in prayer with God's help we can move mountains. Keep praying for Bro. Jerry. He is doing a wonderful job.

Adam Crownover passed away this afternoon. Please pray for God's strength and peace for his family during this tough time.

Adam Crownover was in a 4-wheeler accident on July 4th. He is in stable but critical condition in Amarillo. He has no internal injuries, but they are worried about head trauma and pressure on the brain.

Monday, July 6th, I will be having my left knee replaced. Please be in prayer for my doctor Dr. Brendan Albracht, and all the staff at Panhandle Surgery. God is so good!

Thanks so much for all the prayers for myself and my sister. God is so good. Sue (my sister) got word that her problem with her heart was just electrical it can be corrected. (Easier than open heart surgery). I will not have to have hip replacement. Just my left knee. I can handle knee surgery, I already have had the right one done. Maybe, just maybe I will be walking great soon. I give God the Glory. He is always there when I need Him, just like he promised.

Doris Marshall went home to be with her Lord yesterday. Please be in prayer for Victor, Mike & D'Anne Venable, Clayton & Shelly Marshall (Burleson), Charles & Dorothea Riggs (sister), James and Kristen Venable (grandchildren), and Sabra Kesner (an adoped sister of Doris & Dorothea) as they all deal with their loss. The funeral service will be Friday, April 17 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church.

Prayer of Comfort

Ralph Bynum's surgery was thought to have gone well this afternoon, but he was sent back into emergency surgery around 8:00 PM tonight to repair some internal bleeding. During the surgery, Ralph passed away from an apparent heart attack. Sometimes things happen that we do not understand and we will not know His purpose until we stand in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Please be in prayer for his family and his close friends as they deal with the sudden loss of such a remarkable man. Judy Watson

Please be in prayer for Orville Greenhouse (98 years old), who fell this morning and had a possible stroke. She is currently being treated at Dumas Memorial. She is the mother of Virginia Mixon and grandmother of Miles Mixon.

Continued Prayer Need

Please continue to be in prayer for Ralph Bynum. His esophagus cancer surgery is scheduled for Thursday, April 9th at 10:00 AM at BSA. Please pray that only the lower fourth of his esophagus will have to be removed and the rest of his esophagus will be healthy when the doctors do this surgery. Please pray for guidance for the surgeons, for Ralph's recovery and for his family. Update on Frank James

Thank you for the prayers, the cards and the visits. I am home, swollen and stiff. God is so good. I give Him thanks. They removed two disks in my neck and put in a shield, and then they did the Carpal Tunnel on my left wrist. Dr. Banister said it was much worse than he thought. I will be watching Sunday School and Church from home the next week or two, but I'll be thinking of you and praying with you. I ask that you pray for Juana. She has had an ear infection and needs your prayers. Last Sunday was great. The choir was so good. Brother Jerry, I want you to know I DID NOT have my surgery just so I couldn't help you move.
